Wholehearted

I’ve often thought that the reason the Israelites wondered in the desert for 40 years was lack of obedience, grumbling, and complaining. That is true, but in Numbers 32, God says it is, “because they have not followed me wholeheartedly.” I guess I could obey, not grumble, not complain, but my heart could be far from God. God was looking at their heart.

But there were 2 that God noticed, Joshua and Caleb. God says this of Caleb, “my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly.” (Numbers 14)

God examine my heart and let it be fully, wholly yours.
