I’m reading Fields of Gold by Andy Stanley. He raises a great question, “What if I wake up tomorrow and instead of thinking about making a living, I think about GIVING?” If I really take what Jesus says in Matthew 6:25, 31-33 as truth, if I think about building His Kingdom first, then I don’t have to worry about what I’m going to eat, drink or wear. Jesus has invited me (and us) into a financial mission that is much larger than I am. I don’t need to worry about things that He promises to provide as long as I focus on accomplishing His mission: caring for the poor and making disciples.
